A rustic yet elegant home in the countryside — for our guests to experience Punjab's warm hospitality.
During the days of COVID, we decided to step away from the scurry of the city and venture into sustainable, transformative hospitality, creating a rustic yet elegant home in the countryside. Completed in 2022 as a four-bedroom retreat, Raunaq is inspired by the old Forest Rest Houses from the days of the Raj, specifically the nearby Nara Forest Rest House just a few minutes away.
We farm without the use of chemical fertilizers. The wheat grown on our farm is ground for the rotis you eat and our farm-grown mustard is cold-pressed for cooking oil. When in season, our kinoos come straight from the orchard to your glass as fresh juice.
Raunaq runs almost entirely on solar power through both on-grid and off-grid systems. A full power-backup generator is also in place for those rainy days.
Our retriever, Sidney, loves being at Raunaq; away from the city, with open spaces and plenty of room to run around. We will ensure that your pet experiences the same.
